Overcomer

On

today, I truly saw God use me as his vessel. It's important to take the light that is inside of you, to a dark world. Your light symbolizes hope for someone, so don't ever be ashamed to tell your story. I work with children in high school, and as we all know bullying is something that is a major concern for young people. The speaker was talking about the effects of bullying, and what possess a bully to become a bully. Concluding her speech, she asked if anyone had ever been a victim of bullying. I raised my hand, and several of my students also raised their hands. She then asked if those who raised their hand, would like to share their bullying experience. I sat in my chair, not wanting to speak but then i heard a still small voice. The voice of the Lord, said " When you are an overcomer, you tell your testimony". I then was reminded of the scripture found in Revelations 12:11, " And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death". When the spirit of God of spoke to me, i couldn't hold my seat, Lol. I stood up so fast i shocked myself. I then begin to open up my mouth, and the Lord begin to speak through me. Some things that i said, i cannot recall saying, because it was God speaking through me. I stood boldly and courageous in front of my students, peers, staff, and the speaker. After i finished my testimony on staying true to yourself, and not letting anyone define you, i took a seat. The young people all over the room begin to applaud me, but i have to give credit to God. I knew that someone in the building needed, assurance and hope that everything was going to be okay. The speaker then told me to stand up again, Lol. I did. She said, " Would you like to speak to young people on different topics"? I said " I sure would". She then said, " I believe you would be a great speaker". Y'all, this was only God! I can't give credit to myself, but only to God. God will use unlikely people to do great, and wonderful things for his Glory. I come on today, to encourage someone to share your story. Your story could impact a person's life, more than you know. Don't be ashamed of your story, it will bless people. It will help people. It will give someone hope! When you are an overcomer, you must stand up and tell YOUR TESTIMONY! When you know God, and things that he brought you through, you cant be QUIET! There's a fire that begins to burn on the inside of you that says, LET IT GO! There's a fire in you that just want shut up. I made up in my mind, that i wasn't going to say a word at this meeting, because i thought it was for the children. I didn't want to say anything, but i couldn't hold back. Time is running out. Whatever you have, it's time to pour. It's time to take the light to the darkness, and light it up. Light it up on your job. Light it up in the classrooms. Light it up in your home. Light it up in the grocery store. Light it up Everywhere! Don't be a dumb dog, that wont bark.
